[Aereon Narrating]	They are an army unlike any other... crusading across the stars toward a place called UnderVerse, their promised land... a constellation of dark new worlds. Necromongers they're called; and if they cannot convert you, they will kill you. Leading them: the Lord Marshal. He alone has made a pilgrimage to the gates of the UnderVerse and returned a different being. Stronger. Stranger. Half alive and half... something else. If we are to survive, a new balance must be found. In normal times, evil would be fought by good. But in times like these, well, it should be fought by another kind of evil.		"	Conquest icons are two thousand feet tall and a single one of them can destroy a small planet. More than anything else, the Conquest Icon is a Necromonger victory totem. Necromonger statues are based on he sculptures of Adolfo Wildt. Necromongers no longer have a home planet. They subsist entirely on what they have managed to build on their ships. Naphemil the Navigator, the third Lord Marshal, is credited with the birth of the Necromongers nomadic culture. Underverse was discovered by the first Lord Marshal, Corvu the Transcendend. The Necromongers believe death is the next phase of life and use this as justification for their acts of destruction. As the first act of any Lord Marshal, there is a pilgrimage to The Threshold.

"	Planet 6 in the UV system is made up of land areas called 'Fingerprint Terrain'. The feeble sun orbiting Planet U-V- 6 casts ultra-violet light which is what makes it glow unnaturally. Riddick managed to hide on this planet for 5 years before he was found. If asked, Riddick would say that he was 'hiding from himself'.
Navigator	Toombs, we're runnin' out of road!		"	Merc ships are called Skiffs. They are crewed typically by four: A capitain, a navigator and two gunners. The gunner harnesses on modern skiffs are made to allow for maximum mobility and are not engineered to withstand excessive force. Twohy envisioned the merc ships as being pieced together from old, salvaged spaceship parts. Question I’ve always asked myself: Where the hell is the loo on a skiff? (and what does the loo on a Necro ship look like, if a Necro in full armor can sit on it without breaking it? And what the hell is that black stuff that's showing up when a Necro ship takes off? Do they all flush their loos at the same time then to make it take off or what...? Questions over questions, one sillier than the one before...)
Toombs	Shut up! I got it! Again! Now!		"	The skiff was probably stolen from a merc ship called Kubla Khan, where Toombs first encountered Riddick. The encounter is chronicled in the animated prequel "TCoR: Dark Fury

	(Both look to ‘Tags’ on the right side, but there’s nothing on that side... just a dangling, empty harness)
Navigator	Jesus. He just ghosted two guys, and I never even saw him. What do you think, Toombs? I mean, maybe we oughta just...	"
Toombs	I think you're my new gunner. Grab a Gat. Stay on top of him this time.	"
	(Riddick is already on top of the skiff, pulling the navigator out of the opened door, throwing him to the far ground. Toombs is busy with the switches, when suddenly Riddick is sitting in the skiff.
Riddick	You made three mistakes: First, you took the job. Second, you came light. A four-man crew for me? Fuckin' insulting. But the worst mistake you made... Empty gun rack. 	(We see Toombs dropping out of the skiff, landing on top of the unlucky Navigator who just got up)			Doing a stunt on Planet UV, Nick Chinlund (Toombs) accidentally swallowed one of his fake teeth.
		(Aboard the skiff, Riddick getting ready to go into Cryo sleep by attaching an apparature to his arm which swaps the red blood with blue liquid) – this is moved to a later point of time in the director’s cut		Before the events in Pitch Black, Richard B. Riddick was in the military, which would explain why he is such a proficient pilot.

	(Riddick bumps the other ship off)			The scene of Riddick flying over Helion's surface, zigzagging around the beacons, really looks as if it has been rendered in Bryce; and not even by a professional, but with standard terrain settings. Honestly.
(Street scene on Helion, Imam walking the streets of New Mecca)	Imam, pray for us. [Woman] It was confirmed two seasons back. Yes. [Woman # ] They're coming here. I mean, are we next? And there's nothing around this statue, this colossus. Nothing left. It's their calling card.	(Scene is much shorter in the theatrical cut. You especially can’t understand anything that’s said by the New Meccan citizens.)		Helion Prime is one of six planets in the Helion system. The surface of Helion Prime consists largely of sand dunes and an ocean of green water. The economy of Helion Prime is based on the brokering of light. This explains the titanic solar beacons spotting the planet's surface. The architecture of New Mecca is based on sand, glass and water - all of which is abundant supply on Helion Prime. His home on New Mecca gets its name because the sacred black stone in the Meccan temple on Earth was split in two as humans moved further into space. After Pitch black, Riddick left Jack with Imam on New Mecca and then left to put himself into self imposed exile on Planet U.V.6.

The answer is simple - in an islamic household, the doors are usually never locked because visitors are always welcome. It seems that the Chrislam, the religion being practiced in the Riddick universe, has the same customs so that a locked door even makes Riddick wonder. There were four complete rooms built on set for Imam's house. They were built in a modular way so that walls could be removed any time to get shots from every angle.
Imam	There is no simple answer. Whatever was said was meant to give us a chance... a fighting chance. Were it not for the threat of invasion, I never would have betrayed you. I give you my word, Riddick.	"		The people of helion Prime put up the money for the increased bounty on Riddick's head.

Aereon	If you cut my throat, I'll not be able to rescind the offer that brought you here. Nor tell you why it's so vital that you did come.	"		Vin Diesel always wanted to work with Dame Judi Dench, and as a result, tailored the role of Aereon specifically for her. He first approached her to consider this role by filling her London stage dressing room with roses.
Riddick	The blade comes off when the bounty comes off.	"
Imam	This is Aereon, an envoy from the Elemental race. She means you no harm.	"
Aereon	There are very few of us who have met a Necromonger and lived to speak of it. So when I choose to speak of it, you should choose to listen. Riddick	You're not afraid of the dark, are you?	You're not afraid of the dark, are you? The light... hurts my eyes.		The purple tone is called 'Riddick Vision' - what he sees due to his eyeshine. The 'not afraid of the dark...' line is an exact line from 'Pitch Black'.
Soldiers	Get him! Where is he? In there!	"		Riddick's fighting style is a brutal variation on the martial art of Kali.

"		The Necromongers chose to conquer Helion Prime first believing that without their light source the other five planets would fall more quickly. Necro fighters are typically released en masse to clear airspace for incoming warrior ships. The Necro sarcophargus ship is used solely as a troop transport.
Imam	The next shelter! This way!	"
Pilots	Yeah! Whoo-hoo.!	"

Lensor	Imam!	"		Necro Lensors are the 'Bloodhounds' of the Necromongers, used to sniff out life. They entirely lack free will and are controlled via a cable which interfaces with a handheld unit. They respond to heat signatures and sound and store their vision in memory, which may be accessed at any time. The actors inside the Lensor costumes were skilled in body movement, some were from Cirque du Soleil.
Imam	Don't follow me.	"
Imam	There will be an afterlife for me. Will there be for you?	"		While the Necro troops do have guns it is more honorable to kill with wielded weapons. They do not believe in clean armor. The more damage you show, the greater warrior you are. Necro troops make especially effective fighters because they find honor in death and are unable to feel pain.
Lord Marshal	Let's go replenish the ranks.	"
Dame Vaako	Never fails to inspire, does it? Each time a dynasty falls.	"		The spine motif in all Necromonger costumes relates to the early notion of purification through the spine. The concept changed, the motif stuck.

Purifier	In this 'verse, life is antagonistic to the natural state. Here, humans in all their various races are a spontaneous outbreak... an unguided mistake. Our purpose is to correct that mistake. Because there is another 'verse...a 'verse where life is welcomed and cherished. A ravishing, ever-new place called UnderVerse. But the road to that 'verse... crosses over the threshold.	In this ‘verse, humans have been fractured. Divided by all their many races, creeds and mistaken faiths. Our purpose is to correct that mistake. Because there is another 'verse... another universe that he has found. Where anyone can begin anew. Where you can live free of pain, a perfect new place, called UnderVerse.		Note that all reference to the 'threshold' has been removed from the theatrical cut; not just in this scene but also in later ones. That word is pretty frequently used in the Director's cut, but never in the theatrical version. Also note the different meaning of what the Purifier and also the Lord Marshal say in the two versions. In the theatrical cut it sounds as if the Necros were to 'unite' all human races, in the Director's cut, however, it sounds as if the Necros want to eliminate all human life.

Lord Marshal	Then I'll take your soul. Join him... Or join me.	"		The Lord Marshal's astral self can easily pass through matter making it a simple task to remove a person's soul. It also has intense physical properties and can inflict force and pain to others. His given name is 'Zhylaw the Last'.

Riddick	Look, I'm not with everyone here. But I will take a piece of him (points at Irgun, who killed Imam)	"		Irgun is one of the Necromonger's fiercest warriors, carrying a ceremonial poll axe. He keeps the knife in his back as a trophy and a constant reminder fo pain. He serves under Vaako as his first. He is considered one of the fiercest of the Necros. The knife in his back cannot be removed by just any man. For this reason, the ease with which Riddick removes the blade is particularly significant.

Lord Marshal	What do you think of this blade?	"		The act of the Lord Marshal handling the blade to Riddick is a test. Just a pity the movie makers forgot to mention what kind of test...

The stained glass around the Basilica and the floor design detail past Necromonger crusades, much likely to medieval tapestries.
